Father Tad Pacholczyk

Rev. Tadeusz (“Father Tad”) Pacholczyk, Ph.D.

As of October 1, 2026, Reverend Tadeusz (“Father Tad”) Pacholczyk, Ph.D., is continuing his work in the field of bioethics independently of The National Catholic Bioethics Center (NCBC). His bioethics ministry continues alongside a pastoral assignment as part-time Parochial Vicar in the Diocese of Fall River.

Father Tad served the NCBC with distinction for 22 years. The NCBC is immensely grateful to Father for the privilege of our shared time together. His contributions to the field as an ethicist of the NCBC have been inestimable and prolific. He served as Director of Education from 2004 until 2023, launching and leading the NCBC’s National Catholic Certification in Health Care Ethics over those years. He continued serving in the role of Senior Ethicist from 2023 to 2026.

Father Tad’s well-known syndicated newspaper column, “Making Sense of Bioethics,” together with his regular presence on radio, podcasts, television, and online video, have formed tens of thousands of readers and listeners with sound Catholic anthropology and bioethical expertise.

“I am very grateful for the many years of fruitful and engaging work I have been privileged to be a part of through the NCBC,” said Father Tad. “I extend my warm best wishes to all my former colleagues at the Center, and assure them of my continued prayers and support in their work of safeguarding the dignity of the human person in the field of medicine and in the biosciences.”

“Father Tad has played a key role in advancing our mission and bringing our name to countless bishops, seminaries, universities, health care professionals, and parish communities around the country,” said Dr. John Di Camillo, President of the NCBC. “It has been a privilege to work with Father as a fellow ethicist at the NCBC for the past 15 years. His presentations, interviews, and articles are always insightful, well-prepared, and compelling. I know that Father will continue to serve the Church and our culture well through his bioethics ministry for years to come.”

The NCBC looks forward to continued collaboration with Father Tad as a fellow laborer in the Lord’s vineyard, where the need for sound Catholic bioethics continues to grow. We encourage anyone interested in Catholic bioethics to explore Father Tad’s personal website: www.fathertad.com.

May God abundantly bless Father Tad, his continued nationwide bioethics ministry, and his pastoral ministry in the Diocese of Fall River.
