Marie Hilliard Receives Award at United Nations
Marie Hilliard, JCL, PhD, RN, director of public policy at The National Catholic Bioethics Center, was honored on May 11, 2018, at the United Nations for her lifelong career of compassionate nursing. She was one of twenty-one individuals chosen from around the world to receive this distinguished recognition.
The award for exemplary service is given by Nurses with Global Impact, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support opportunities for nurses to contribute to global projects through medical volunteerism and to share inspiring stories about nursing throughout the world. It is given annually on May 12, the date of Florence Nightingale’s birth, in conjunction with International Nurses Day.
