The National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly Online
December 11, 2005
As part of several changes taking place in our publications department (and thanks to a generous donor), we have recently signed an agreement with MetaPress - a division of EBSCO Information Services - to provide for online distribution of The National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly. With the Spring 2006 issue subscribers will still receive their print editions in the mail, but will also have electronic access to current and all past issues via the internet. Of special benefit to our many international subscribers, readers will have the advantage of immediate access to the content of new issues, and libraries will be able make the NCBQ available to their patrons at computer workstations via IP authentication.
The National Catholic Bioethics Quarterly has consistently won 1st place awards from the Catholic Press Association for General Excellence for Scholarly Publications, and has found its place in the community as a reputable, scholarly resource in the area of bioethics. With this new means of distribution those engaged in research in bioethics who may not yet know the Quarterly will be introduced as they search the internet, and they will have the option to purchase individual articles for immediate download.
