NCBC Board Meeting
November 30, 2005
The semi-annual board meeting of The National Catholic Bioethics Center was held at the NCBC headquarters in Philadelphia on November 30. The board, chaired by Bishop Robert Morlino of Madison, Wisconsin is comprised of 19 individuals and includes cardinals, bishops and laypersons from around the continental United States and Puerto Rico. Board members attending the meeting were Bishop Robert Morlino, Cardinal Justin Rigali of Philadelphia, Bishop Donald Wuerl of Pittsburgh, Alvin Clay, III, President of Pitcairn Financial Group in Philadelphia, and Dr. Anthony Tersigni, CEO of Ascension Health, based in St. Louis.
New members welcomed to the board at this meeting were Dr. Robert Buchanan of San Diego, a neuro-surgeon and psychiatrist; Paul Danello a healthcare attorney at Ropes & Gray Attorneys at Law in Washington, D.C.; Charles Dean of Dean Hardwoods, Inc. in North Carolina and Charlotte Kiesel, a Dame of Malta from Burlingame, CA.
All members of the board of The National Catholic Bioethics Center are unwavering in their commitment to the mission of the Center and are known in their communities for their vigilant defense of the sanctity of life.
